I am a professor at the university. Must I bring my students to the library for instruction?
What other options are available?
Answer
There are several options available for instruction. Librarians can create subject and assignment based pathfinders, called LibGuides, that will connect your students with the resources they need.
If you are using BlackBoard, librarians are happy to embed themselves in your course (for example, as a graduate assistant) to connect students with library resources and to teach them how to use them.
Additionally, the library offers face-to-face instruction. This type of assistance works best when connected with a specific assignment. For more information, see the Information Literacy LibGuide.
