I found a JSTOR article on Google but it is asking me for payment. Why?
Answer
When attempting to access JSTOR articles via online sites such as Google Scholar, you may encounter a message that indicates that you do not have access to the material and will need to pay in order to obtain the article.
Because you are using an open web site, JSTOR is unable to determine your affiliation with FVSU. It is likely that FVSU has access to the content; the best way to determine this is to go through GALILEO, which authenticates your affiliation to the university.
If you've already found an article that you would like to view, simply copy the title, open up the JSTOR link below and click search.
In the case where FVSU does not have access to the particular collection in which the article appears, use the gold Go to Article link, which will assist you in requesting the article via Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan for articles usually takes between 1 and 3 days.
