How can faculty members obtain the GALILEO password?

GALILEO policies prohibit the library from sharing the password on open web sites, such as this one, over the phone or via email.To obtain the GALILEO password, you will need an active library account. If you are not sure if you have an account or for assistance in setting up an account, please come to the Circulation Desk, located on the first floor of Hunt Library.
Once you have an active library account, please login to your GIL (GALILEO Interconnected Libraries) account
- Select Instituion ID from the drop-down box and enter your ID Number. This will likely be the letters FVSU followed by the your phone extension. Example: FVSU6764
- Enter your last name in the "Last Name" box
- Enter your PIN
- If you do not know your PIN, enter your last name, Institution ID and click Get My PIN. Your PIN will be sent to your email address.
- Check your email account. Unless you have given the library an alternative email address, your PIN will be sent to the your FVSU faculty email address.
- Once you've obtained your PIN, go back to the login page and enter it.
- Click Login to My Account
- Click the Request button at the top of the screen
- The current GALILEO password will display
